SVGTA
St. Vincent and the Grenadines
Taekwondo Association
The SVGTA is the governing body for Taekwondo in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Taekwondo is a Global Martial Art & Olympic Sport that is practiced in over 205 nations, spanning five continents. The SVGTA is affiliated to:
Since the SVGTA is a member of the international body World Taekwondo (WT), formerly referred to as the World Taekwondo Federation, we must comply with all WT rules and regulations. One of these regulations is the implementation of the new Global Membership System (GMS) that all affiliates of the WT must commence using in their respective association/Federation.
Each club member is expected to become a member of the SVGTA. Your membership is vital to the prosperity and continued existence of the association. In doing so you help to continue the work of the founder- Mr. Albert Maloney- and the pioneers who dedicated their efforts to ensure continuity and development of our wonderful art.
WTF Global Membership System
WTF New Global Membership System is officially online for the SVGTA.
The GMS is an international registration process for all members of each association/Federation that helps the WTF to maintain a global database of all persons involved in taekwondo, not only athletes and coaches but also executive members, parents, volunteers, sponsors, visitor, spectator, etc. The registration affords any person registered to be able to take part or attend any WTF sanctioned events worldwide and comes with an international Id card with each person’s details.
The ID card is valid for one year and must be renewed annually for a fee of XCD$30. This same fee will now be use as the annual membership fee for the SVGTA that must be paid by each member of the association. With this in mind the new system will be launched in February 2017.
I would like to ask that all persons involved in taekwondo to get registered and support the SVGTA with this new system. We have many wonderful plans for 2017 and only with your support would we be able to achieve them.
Looking forward to your registration and support.
